This site for Domain Auctions is without any traditional listing, closing or transaction fees.

You may ask why we do this and the answer is quite simple: DotPound.com is a division of WebFox Inc. WebFox Inc uses 4Domains Inc ICANN Accredited Registrar status, 4Domains.com, and this site is an effort for us to spawn the mechanism for off loading current domain names so, in turn more domain names will be registered with 4Domains.com and more website hosting opportunities generated for WebFox.com.

To list a domain for sale you will first need to register an account with us. Once registered you can continue to the management area and find the option for Add Domains. You may add any domain from any registrar. Of course, only add domains that are actually yours. If the domain is with 4domains.com or with one of our partners you will be prompted to provide the password for verification. Now that the domain is added you will see it in your Manage Sales interface and you may select it to begin the sale setup process.

4domains.com Customers: If you already have a backroom account with 4domains we are pleased to inform you that your account directly integrates with the DotPound system and you may use your same login and password to login and begin selling your domains.

At the end of an auction, it will be the responsibility of the seller and buyer to work out a form of payment and delivery. We do however recommend one of our partners, escrow.com

If there were any bids the buyer and seller will be notified and the sale process can continue. If there are no bids then simply the seller will be notified.

We encourage buyers and sellers to rate the quality of their experiences with each other, including how quickly payment arrangements were made and any questions were addressed. By providing favorable ratings to buyers and sellers you can help other users become more comfortable doing business with you on-line, which leads to more sales!

How long does a winning bidder have to pay their balance?
While this is not enforced, it is expected that the buyer has provided payment within 2 weeks of the auction closing. We suggest buyers and sellers rate their experiences with others to help showcase favorable business practices and allow responsible buyers and sellers to have the best experience possible.

What methods of payment are accepted?
This is for you to decide with the buyer or seller. However we highly recommend the use of escrow.com as the medium for completing the transaction. If you visit the Domain Name Escrow Services page you can view the accepted payment methods under "Benefits for Buyers"

Can I cancel an auction after is has started?
Unfortunately no. We expect that you commit to any auction that you create. Please be sure that you do not currently have any pending 3rd party issues with the domain that might prevent you from selling the domain after the auction completes. Since we encourage buyers and sellers to rate each other, it is not favorable to cancel an auction mid process. BuyNow domains with an unlimited time span are exempt and can be canceled at any time.

Can I auction a domain that is with another registrar (not 4domains, Inc)?
Yes, however since we do not have access to the records of 3rd party registrars, we can not verify the seller as the true owner of the domain. These domains will also display a Note on their Bid page indicating this. It is recommended that sellers transfer their domains to 4domains, Inc. to ensure the best experience possible for buyers and sellers.

How can I take advantage of the "Website Traffic" feature of an auction?
All you simply need to do is point the (A) Address record for (@) and (www.) for your domain(s) to 8.7.21.250 or change the nameservers to ns1.dotpound.com and ns2.dotpound.com
